As stated earlier, the Bucs will win unless there is a bad call that goes against them. 

If this happens, it would be illustration of the points I've tried to make:

Brady won the last two playoff games because of his teammates and his opponents.  He got a lot of lucky breaks, which most quarterbacks do not get.

Then, he was prevented from getting a ring by bad officiating.

My prediction is that I'm going to pull a D4L and not watch the game.  But I will have many hot takes and observations here afterwards about the game that I didn't watch. 

Peter King was asked about the QBs in this game with Tom representing the best in the last 20 years and Patrick the next one to be the best and he had an interesting answer. He said when he saw Dan Marino and Joe Montana play in the Super Bowl he was thinking this matchup is going to happen many times going forward. Well we know Dan didn't make it back to the SB so as Dolphin fans we know how hard it is to get there. He said while he thinks Mahomes is that guy only time will tell.


Whoever has the ball last might just win this game.  I think it's going to be a close game but KC wins 28-24. With that said it wouldn't surprise me to see it go exactly opposite.

I don't think so.  I think it will be a dogfight.  Tampa's defense has vastly improved since getting torched by KC for over 450 yards passing back in week 13.

Now I'm confused

UNLESS the refs make a bad call against Brady's team, THEN KC will win?  That sounds sort of strange.  A bad call against Tom will hurt the Bucs, not help them.  Same with the missed field goal.

I do not think that matters in this case.  If it is not legal, I cannot do it. 

BTW, when I say the Bucs will win unless there is a bad call that goes against them, I mean a FLAGRANTLY bad call.  One where there is no fathomable way you can POSSIBLY argue against it.

Still haven't decided if I will actually watch the game

I do love that this is the first time ever that the game is being played at one of the combatants’ home stadium. Too bad it has to happen in a virtually empty stadium though.

In actual makes it fairer.  TB has less of a home field advantage. 

Between the predicted thunderstorms and Brady's previous Superbowl history, I think it will be a real close game, and not high scoring.

I see that the Super Bowl will be back in Tampa two years from now.  They are giving them another game due to Covid, that bumps out Phoenix.

Seeing what happened with Andy Reid's son and the likelihood of him going to jail, I am inclined to go with the Bucs on this one. Andy's mind will NOT be on the game.

You were right, Edgecrusher.  Reid with an insanely stupid decision.  The Bucs were content to run the clock out and the Chiefs decided to give them a chance to score.

Driving while impaired, seems to be alcohol and adderall. Unfortunately, he hit a parked car with 2 small kids in it. One of them is in critical condition and may die or have brain damage.

I wonder if he was prescribed the Adderall. 

I take it myself, and people have always tried to get me to drink, but I've said no.

I am not watching another video of football until the next season starts.

Even if he was, he has had DUIs in the past so I don't see how he avoids prison, even if the kids survive and are healthy.

I was optimistic after the first quarter that this was going to be a well fought dog fight of a game. This is why I’m a pessimist. Just another let down of a Super Bowl. Party it up Buccaneer Brad where we you are. Lol.

Maybe you are right.  Maybe he does have intangibles that other quarterbacks lack.  Maybe he does make his defenses play out of this world.  Maybe he does force his opponents to make stupid turnovers at the worst possible times.  Who knows.  I guess Marino didn't have that "sixth sense"  What a choker he was.  How did he ever make the Hall of Fame?

Jordan got every call in the book during his career, unlike Brady.

For record, I was right about my Super Bowl prediction and the result of this game.   

It likely wouldn't have made a difference, but what rational reason was there for the Chiefs stopping the clock?

- The Bucs had great field position
- Even if you stop them, you have little time and no timeouts to do something with the ball.
- You risk giving the Bucs time for a score.
- The Bucs were giving you the chance to go into halftime down one score and getting the ball to start the second half, and you didn't take it.

I don't know that "[X] will win, unless they get robbed and lose" is really a prediction one can brag about.
