He must have contacted the Mets as Cohen swooped in and signed him overnight. Their payroll is now projected to be $380 Million and good for them, they will still make a profit this year and now probably win the World Series.
Of course, the 2034 payroll will be something like $700 Million as he will have to release all of these 40 years olds still collecting money on their monster deals who are only batting .138 but as of now, he doesn't care. Still, the Mets are loaded and you know that when the trading deadline comes, they will get whatever they need. |
