It doesn't help when the play call is behind the line or a slow misdirection. It's a chicken and egg though. Did the staff know there was an issue so they tried to be cute or did being cute cause the issue? Memory feels like I was frustrated with the call more than anything.
The bad play calling came after many failed attempts. It was apparent that after criticism he went back to calling their numbers again in short yardage and they continued to get stuffed. We literally had nothing and it showed against good teams.

Miami only has one more "you can count on it" pick in this draft. After round 2, it's a long wait until  the 5th round.   I am sincerely hoping that Miami addresses the O-line with the 2nd rounder...

Tonight. They have former players announcing tonight. First rounders all get called by the Comish.

You must not have watched very closely last night.

I get the pick but I personally feel our biggest weakness last year was not being able to run when it is 3rd or 4th down and it matters nor did we have anyone we could throw to when we had a short field like the red zone. Fades to Tyreek went poorly even though we kept on trying. For both of these reasons we are thought of as being soft.

Please help me to understand how we can eliminate guns with laws but we haven't put a dent in drugs?
Because guns aren't drugs.  It's like asking, "How can we eliminate guns when people break the speed limit every day?"  Many people want to get high (or drive fast) who don't want to take another person's life.  And guns being available to steal from some nearby truck is not comparable to hundreds of millions of guns purchased legally.

Again, we don't need to ask hypothetical questions about "How can banning guns possibly work when criminals break the law?" because literally every other industrialized country has already proven that it works.  The US is the only developed country in the world with this problem.

We did not have anywhere near the number of guns in the '80s as we do today, due in large part to pro-gun-control politicians like Ronald Reagan.

More guns = more shootings.  Go look up the number of shootings in Canada, Japan, Australia, England, or Germany.

True but guns were much easier to access in the 80s. Like I said ... they were in the windows of many trucks.

Please help me to understand how we can eliminate guns with laws but we haven't put a dent in drugs? That is such a silly theory to me. I mean sure the honest people aren't buying drugs but anyone who wants them has access. It seems to me that a certain section of society is content to leave out common sense to fulfill a fantasy.

I've got two episodes left of Shogun...really like this show, I just started it late.  I just started watching Fallout as well. Weird show, but not totally awful.

We just wrapped up Fallout on Amazon. It depicts the aftermath of the Great War of 2077 in an alternate version of California/America. Anything with Walton Goggins seems to always be entertaining and this was no different. Looking forward to the next season.

more guns =/= less shooting

that's an insane premise. and it's been proven around the world

less guns = less shootings.
We had guns in school in the 80s but no one was killed. Many trucks had both a shotgun and a rifle in the back window. In fact anyone could have stolen them and started shooting away as they were typically loaded. Now guns are outlawed at schools as well as many other gun laws and yet shootings are not uncommon. Just like deaths by drunk drivers ... it isn't access to the car that is at fault but the driver. It isn't the amount of guns but it is the morality of the people who have them.
