I used to be a pretty large fan of country music, even working for a label in Nashville.  Once I got out of the format of music I lost my taste for most of the new stuff that was coming in.

While watching this season's 'Celebrity Apprentice' I saw Trace Adkins perform a song called "You're Going to Miss This."  Trace is one of the artists that I really liked during my programming days, "Every Light In the House Is On" was one of my favorites.  I enjoyed the song on the TV show and then heard it again - liked it so much I went out and bought the darn CD that it's on.

Twangy?  Sure.  Great lyrics?  Yes.  Check it out if you have time, it's a great song.

Cool. I'll check it out. I'm also a part time Musician . I've been playing guitar since 1983 and I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn in a NYC club and it blew my mind. I'm more into  the classic Rock/Blues thing but lately artists like Brad Paisley, Travis Tritt, and Toby Keith have really gotten me into Country. I'll definitely give it a listen.

I own one, and only one, country music CD, and that's Joe Diffie's "A Thousand Winding Roads." There are two songs with similar names on there ("Home" and "Almost Home") that I absolutely love listening to, though "Home" makes me a little too boo-hooish sometimes.

If you like Diffie you might dig his song "A Night to Remember."

I've heard it...good song, but the two "Home" songs have extreme sentimental appeal, which is why I broke down and bought the CD. Technically, I was wrong about only having one country CD though, since Johnny Cash is considered country music by most, and I have a half dozen Johnny Cash CD's. I just never think of him as country. Wink

The song is as creepy as the real thing.
