Hard to pick my favorite movie, but I know which one I'll pick for worst. Walk Hard had to be one of the worst movies I've seen. It wasn't funny. Some of the scenes that were intended to be funny just made me angry. It was a Will Ferrel movie without Will Ferrel, whose movies I usually hate. I also started watching Meet the Spartans with one of my friends, and had to turn that off before I killed someone. At least with a bad action movie you can laugh at it (most of the time). A bad comedy is just frustrating...

I agree.  Silence of the Lambs is very good.

There are some movies that people really love that I think are shitty.  Recently, Weddings Crashers, I thought was pretty terrible.  Everyone else seems to love it.

Which is why I never take people's word for movies or even games.  So many people love some horrible stinkers that I only get mad at myself when I'm done watching something that sucked.

I'll use this example.  Pirates of the Caribbean.

Before you guys stone me, hear me out.  Its an OK movie but not something I'd buy, let alone for that much.  Thanks to my own idiocy and my friend's liberal use of the word "best" I thought what the hell, I'll pay 20 something bucks at Walmart (it was late, everything was closed and I was bored.)  I watched it that ONE time and has since then slept forever on the shelf never to be opened again.

Come to think of it, he thought Man Apart was going to revolutionize film.  Thanks to him I spent 2 hours watching that shit.  Thats what I get for thinking a Vin Diesel movie would be watchable.

Then again, I have a weird taste in movies myself.  My favorite movie of all time is hardly something most people would name.  I also really like over the top and weird shit like Kill Bill and Sin City movies that many people I know HATED.

For the record, I like Napoleon as well.

Nothing but a money machine for Disney.
Weird stuff about Pirates
The first movie is about Capt Barbosa and the crew of the Black pearl trying to end a curse because they are forced to live forever,so basically they don't want to live forever.
At the end of part three Barbosa announces to his crew they have a new mission, find the fountain of youth so they can live forever.
In part one Will Turner,Elizabeth and Jack Sparrow trick Barbosa and his crew eventually leading to Barbosas death. In the end of part two Will Turner and Elizabeth help bring Barbosa back from the dead, where in part three helps them find Jack Sparrow at worlds end,my question why wasn't Barbosa bitter or revengeful toward these people ?
This whole series doesn't make sense I believe Disney is just throwing it out there to make money.

It's hard to pick a favorite movie.  However, Sin City was one of the best movies I've ever seen.  Ready to Rumble was absolutely the WORST movie I've ever seen.

You and I are in agreement on this one...I loved Sin City, and am looking forward to the sequel.

I think the best is Transformers. I LOVE this movie. I also loved the Pirates movies, and Enchanted. Some of my favorite movies are not exactly the best movies- I tend to like cheesy movies a lot of people hate, and I am a huge fan of Disney movies.

The worst? Ugh where to start...The dead girl was terrible. I hated 28 days later. Idiocracy...Why did I ever watch this?
and lots of others I can't remember.

Ready to Rumble was awesome.

Okay, not really.  I actually am ashamed to say that I watched it.  It was on Starz one night while I was doing some work on my lap top.  Like a bad Tony Robbins info-merical, I was sucked in.

+1, Idiocracy is genius, as is most of Mike Judge and Ethan Cohen's recent output.

In fact, and no offense to the previous poster, but my sister and I were just talking about Idiocracy the other day, and how the only people who didn't like and/or 'get it' were the biggest morons we knew, or in other words, the theoretical characters of the film itself. Such as, her former roommate who couldn't get a job at Starbucks because she spelled coffee "c-o-f-i-e" on the application. (This despite the fact that the words "starbucks coffee" are written at the top of said application).

some of her other gems were "frizer" (freezer) and "Hualk" (Hulk). She is 19 years old. Her brain, however, is not.
