Fields' punt is good and LUKE McCown gets sacked on the first play.  Good sign

Each teams' first drive is three and out.

Beck now completing passes to his fullbacks to move the chains

Now the receivers are getting in on the action.

Hey do you think TB is easing off to deceive Sparano into keeping Beck on the Roster?

no offense in this game as TB also goes three and out

Hagan commits a penalty and Beck gets sacked.  This drive aint going anywhere.

Let's see what's going on the Radio show

Kircus is certainly putting on a good case for keeping him on the roster. That presents an interesting question, though... who gets those fourth and fifth receiver slots? Hagan, Wilford and Ginn are likely to get the first three, but after that.. there's Camarillo, Kircus, Bess and Foster... Foster seems destined for the practice squad. Unless he bombs in preseason, I think Bess makes it. That leaves Camarillo and Kircus fighting for the last spot. Two very different players.

Who's the best slot receiver we have, anyway?

Is it too late to ask Brian Griese to come back? Wink

So far, the defense has held its own.... until that last drive.   Tampa Bay has dominated in time of possesion for the second quarter!!!  Chad Henne pretty much had only one real series, but he has looked very good in it.  Beck is like a Jekyll/Hyde.... looks good at one point, and horrible the next.  Ricky is tearing it up out there, and he should be starting without question.

I'm here at Doctor D's house with Phishfan and Sciotto.  Polished off some thick steaks and chicken breast with onions and mushrooms before the game and now enjoying chips with Mexican bean/queso/salsa dip.  Not to mention lots and lots of coldies.

Pics to come later.

I left to go for a Saturday Night drive and listen to the Open House party.  I am back for the last half of the third quarter.

I'm jealous of all the people at doctor D's.  They are watching the game on live TV 62 and eating gourmet food in a mansion.  I am in my house following the game on cbs.sportsline eating deli sandwhiches and strawberries with powdered sugar  Cheesy

Henne is doing well!!  And the team doesn't look like the completely clueless disaster they did last year.

Has anyone noticed that McCown hasn't played one down yet ?

I was shocked to see him in there as well, after a news story broke that he isn't playing.  Maybe Beck's performance in the 1st quarter had something to do with that.
