Tough choice between Ginn and Porter, but for me what tips the scales is that while Ginn scored no points, Porter (sorta) scored 2. So I'll give it to Porter.

Honorable mention to Pennington.

Ginn for finally taking some Hits and staying in bounds. He's listening and learning.

And Porter. Porter has not only filled JT's shoes , He's broke the leather !

I think just about every week, we'll be able to make the case for Pennington and Porter. I think I've given Pennington a game ball 2 or 3 times already this season. So, I'm not giving another one to Pennington until he brings us back from being down 20 points. I haven't given one to Porter yet, but since Ginn showed up, and showed us what he can do, I'm giving it to him. Take your first game ball, Teddy...And, earn some more!

My Game Ball goes to WR Ted Ginn Jr.  What a game by Teddy Ginn.  I think that this was the game that everybody has been waiting for from Ginn.  Hopefully, he builds on this game and continues to grow as a WR.  Honorable Mention to LB Joey Porter.  Good Lord, I never expected this kind of season from him.  He really looks like the Joey Porter of old versus the "old" Joey Porter we saw in 2007.

I know I am always late with these things, it is just the way my schedule rolls.

But I have a few things to add...

Absolutely Porter, Pennington and Ginn had nearly equivalently excellent games.

Porter was better against the run this game while maintaining his brutal assult on the pass rush, not to mention how huge that safety was.  He has made me look like a chump with some of the comments I made based on his early season/preseason play.

Pennington finally threw deep, although slightly underthrown it was nice to see and really set a tone early.  He lead the opening drive to a score, finally.  The run game really didn't help all that much so he deserves a some extra credit for putting it on his back.  Major bounce back in overall play from last week.

Ginn finally got a few shots and capitalized.  I also think he made a great play when he picked up that fumbled ball on the short kickoff.  It was excellent awareness on his part and went fairly unnoticed.

EXTRA STUFF---------------

Jason Allen showed some pretty good stuff out there against the other teams top receivers.  He wasn't perfect, but played damn well and deserves a little credit.

Goodman saved our asses out there with a few exceptional defensive coverage plays that would have been game changers.  I am also not so sure about the pass interference call against him and thought that was also an excellent play.  Kudos to him for his play in the game.
