Any of the three young men were worthy. While one can't argue with Bradford's numbers,I think Colt McCoy is a better qb when you compare his receivers with the talent that Bradford was surrounded by all season. That being said I still think that Tim Tebow is the best player in college football, bar none, and is the most valuable to his team. And,quite possibly, the finest human being on the face of the planet.

I don't put too much stock in the award.
Eric Crouch, Chris Weinke, Ron Dayne have all had less than steller NFL success.
Read the link to my old thread. I did a post shortly after Reggie Bush won it. The Heisman definitely does not guarantee success at the NFL level. It's possible to have success in college without having the tools to make it in the NFL. Take Gino Torretta and Danny Wuerffel for example.

Bradford is going to be a stud in the NFL.

Really? He plays football. Not exactly life altering for most people.
Actually I was saying that kind of tongue in cheek, referring to all of the ultra-positive media stories about the guy.But he is a great kid from everything I've seen and heard about him,and a fine positive example in this world of thug "student athletes"that can barely speak the english language.I wish college football had more guys like Tebow and Myron Rolle(FSU safety that is a Rhodes Scholar and future brain surgeon)

What makes you say that? His predecessors (Josh Heupel and Jason White) were putting up gaudy numbers, but they tanked in the NFL

He is a purebred. He is going top 5, not a single doubt in my mind. He is everything that you would want in a college quarterback and the only problem is that he is going to be competing with an equally ridiculously talented quarterback in Stafford which may push him down from number 1 (I'll give the purely tangible nudge to Stafford). If memory serves, Heupel was a last round pick, and Jason White never showed up on anybody's radar and went undrafted. These guys don't even come close to comparing to Bradford in NFL projections. Edit: upon further research, we can see that Bradford is projected as the #2 pick overall. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draftWhat's the chances the Lions don't pick a QB at #1?

I see they are projecting the Patriots to pick Russell Okung. I am not sure if tackle is really our biggest area of need.
