I don't understand why my Indians would pull a Pittsburgh and trade away their two best players.  What bothers me is that they keep doing it when they're not in contention.

Victor Martinez and Cliff Lee are both gone.

I know the team wants to stay under a certain number in payroll but come on.  This looks like a team that WANTS to be stuck in mediocrity.

I hate to see Peavy go, but SD got enough quality arms in the deal to make it acceptable. I like Poreda's ceiling, and I think that Latos, Poreda and Richard will be a nice young trio in the rotation.

Still hurts a little though... I'm gonna miss Jake.

And he stays put for a few more months.

This is the only realistic move we could have made that I actually wanted to see.

Hmm...I think it's interesting about the moves, that fell through....
Jon Heyman of SI.com reports that the Padres almost dealt Heath Bell and Adrian Gonzalez to the Dodgers for James Loney, Russell Martin, Blake DeWitt, James McDonald and Ivan Dejesus. one of his tweets

I think that was one of those, not in our own division trades.... Cheesy
