Bottom line is good teams can rise above bad calls and still win.

The Dolphins aren't good enough right now to do that.  So, playing against a tough opponent and getting bad calls/unlucky bounces means you're probably gonna lose some games...

Maybe, someday, we'll be good enough to rise above it...

I think you're right, Brian.

I'm actually not BLAMING the refs and I don't think that there's any conspiracy or anything like that.  I actually think that the tripping call was correct (although unfortunate, and probably not caught/called most of the time).  I think that when you need everything for you to go right in an entire half of football, a bad call is going to get highlighted.  Since we put ourselves in crappy situations of falling behind or not putting the game away, we are forced to play close games that should be close, and bad calls shine.

Also, I think that desperate teams are seen as such and calls are made.  It's bad luck, but I've always said, you make your own luck.  There's a reason that Brady gets bullcrap calls -- he plays well enough normally that when something bad happens, refs assume that there must be a penalty.
