(Puts man card on the table)

It's one of the things I'm really anal about,I wash the sheets/Pillow cases,Blankets on my bed, about once every 3 days.....So tonight I came home stripped all the stuff off my bed.threw part of it in the washing machine, after the first load came out of the dryer, I noticed a pretty good size tear in the sheet....I whip out the sewing machine run the tear...It looks atrocious, and mis shaped the sheet.....It fits alot more snug on the waterbed. My spare set is pretty faded an pretty bad shape..Both sets of sheets are in pretty bad shape...They're only a year or so old....

I did a quick google shopping search found tons of them...but quite a price range...A few things stuck out Lot's of Egyption Cotten, and the thread count/percale...
I always thought higher thread count the better, but it seemed like some of the higher end stuff the thread count wasn't that much more...

Any help advise on buying bedding, sheets etc...Perhaps a place you like to buy this type of stuff?

(Picks up the man card)

We get at least 400 thread count.  Anything less is not soft enough.

You have a sewing machine? I don't even know how to sew.
Anyway, I just bought some sheets. I think they're around 400 thread count and made out of bamboo. They are super soft and I LOVE them. My other 2 sheet sets are Egyptian cotton. One is 600 thread count.

I'd go with the highest thread count I can find for the price you're willing to pay. I've bought lower thread counts in a pinch and always wind up replacing those sheets quickly. I buy most of my bedding at Bed, Bath, and Beyond since they send me a million of those 10% off coupons.

You should really look on Overstock.
They're ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS running bedding sales...
We just got a set (King) 800 thread count for about $50...and they're pretty!

Thanks for all the tips, unfortunately I realize (well after I posted this) that most of those places don't sell "waterbed " sheets....But I did get some good knowledge....

Yep, took two years of home economics,to be closer to my GF at the time(Skipping long winded story). My Mom had a fugly green sears model my whole life, "portable " model because it had a case, but would give you a hernia if your tried to move it...I lugged that thing around everytime she moved, motor finally died.I was walking a flea market found her a new one at a flea market for like $20,then that Christmas I got her an all new one form Walmart,Plastic light as a feather, does like 200 different type of stitches (that was like 2 maybe 3 years ago)...I took the Old Flea market one....I know how to run fairly simple things,I'm not gonna make a prom dress, but enough to fix most common problems...A couple of weeks ago, I made a couple of really big dog beds for my dogs for about $30

I cannot sew or anything that resembles sewing. My mom tried to teach me, but I was unimpressed. If I can sew my own  stuff, what will she do. To this day, my mom still tailors my pants and dresses. (I'm short so everything has to be hemmed.)
