That's some freaky shit there...not sure that is a humongous improvement. Gotta give the guy credit for going through some hellacious pain to get to where he's at though. If that were me, and that was about as "normal" as my face was gonna get, I might want some phantom of the opera mask kinda situation instead.

I thought this woman was the recipient of the first full face transplant?

From the looks of it, there are a lot of kinks to work out in the face transplant department.

Read the article, there's lots more to the story than meets the eye so to speak.  That picture above of the woman is the first facial transplant patient in the US.  Also, they intentially leave more facial skin on the patient in case some of the skin is rejected (the patient takes anti-rejection medication just like any other transplant patient).  Follow-up surgeries will remove any excess facial skin and tweak it to fix any remaining problems.  It's at least a 2 year process, but the woman already looks a ton better in my personal opinion.  She said her looks didn't really bother her, but what did bother her is that children were afraid of her.  I think that problem would have already been fixed.  I can still see some funny looks from kids, but doubt they would be afraid of her.

The question is "Would you do her"?

How about that to add to the "Would you do her" game - a facial transplant recipient.
