I was working, I actually only thought it was 14 points. Wow, that is just ridiculous. We essentially gave them 21 points through sheer stupidity and bad coaching. I mean, whose to say that New England doesn't have successful scoring drives anyway? However, they would've had to earned it the old fashioned way, no gimme points.

Damn, maybe our season isn't as lost as I thought now that this idiot is fired.

bad move. Bonamego actually had some interesting kickoff schemes we could have utilized. It was more about the players underperforming I think. You jest but this might haunt us Im sure his phone is ringing

5 blocked kicks in 8 games (including preseason) is inexcusable.

Bye.

and we just promoted his assistant. Not sure it will get any better

The special teams in general has been a thorn in our ass for the last three years whether in 2008 when we gave up repeated kickoff/punt returns for TDs, last year they were more consistant or this year where we've had 3 blocked kicks in the last two games alone.

Whether the players suck or not, when you give up this many points on special teams your coache's ass is going to get fried.  And the bye week was the best time to do it.

It's hard to be much worse on special teams than we already are, so a change is welcome. I think for the time being we should put more starters on kickoff returns. The way it has been going, I would trot out Dansby, Brown and Jason Allen if need be. All hands on deck.
