Is there any piece of media -- a new book, movie, or game, where you're just chomping at the bit to get at it?

Mine is, without question, the next Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises.

I think, in general, its movies for me.  I was giddy about the new Transformers movie, and was planning to see it this weekend, but I've heard mixed reviews.  The trailer made it look amazing, but the second one left some to be desired.

Aside from that, the next closest thing might be Gears of War 3.

Yeah, music definitely counts.  There have been albums that I've gone to get on day of release and really looked forward to.

Used to be games for me... but lately I have lost a lot of interested in them..  I guess if a show counts as media.. I would have to go with "Big Brother" every time the season ends I notice that I am hooked and I cant wait to see the new season!!! (July 7)

Battlefield 3. One word: wow. Seems like they've taken everything from Battlefied 2 / Bad Company 2 mixed in a little Modern Warfare and juiced it up. This will be the second thing I'll be paying for day 1.

I'm looking forward to the next incarnation of "An Idiot Abroad".  It's suppose to have Karl Pinkington doing stuff from a "bucket list".  The release date in the UK is September.  Given the popularity of the show in the US (shown on the Science Channel), I hope we don't have to wait too long to see it here.

Nope, but I have it on good authority that the beta is scheduled to appear before the end of September.  Supposedly the game is complete in so far that you can go from the beginning of the game to the end. Obviously there's a lot of bugs to squash and polishing to do which will happen during the beta.  So far Blizzard still says they expect to release in 2011, although it will probably be like December time frame at the earliest.
