Turns out Michael Vick put it on Twitter that he would be "honored to have Brett Favre as a backup".  Apparently the Eagles are interested in bringing him in.  Let's see if the feeling is mutual.  It wouldn't surprise me if Favre gave it another go.  It can get awfully lonely sitting on that tractor in Kiln, MS.

The circus is in town.  I love it!  Come back, Favre -- we need you!

Philly fan won't take nicely to Farve. And if Vick thinks Farve is content on being a back-up he is crazy

I think someone is just blowing smoke and until Favre says he is interested, I don't believe it.

Think about it.  After months of labor unrest and a lockout, what better way to get people talking about football.  I think ESPN and the NFL love this kind of crap because of the buzz (positive and negative) it generates.  It wouldn't surprise me a bit that they are ones spreading the rumors.

yeah but Farve can kill the rumor at any time. Just one interview or tweet and the speculation is over. Until he does so, this story has legs

So you're saying that if Favre denied it, everyone would believe him?

Why? Wink

This time I think they would after the off the field issue he had and how last year played out. I think if he said I ain't coming back (mind you now its almost August)....people would believe him

Favre DID deny it.  At least his agent did...  It was on SportsCenter.

How in the world will we ever get the media to stop (as well as people posting these threads). I'm not one to wish injury or illness on anyone, but I wish something would make everyone just let this thing die. Maybe after he doesn't play this year (there is a 0% chance of him playing by the way) we won't hear it next year.
