^^^ It wasn't fun because we really weren't winning that much. We had a team that consistently backed into the playoff and limped along. Had the team made the AFC championship twice in a row, I don't think you would mind a Sanchez like QB all that much. Maybe you would complain a bit about how a QB is needed to get over the hump, but you sure as shit would enjoy watching Miami win 11 games regularly.

The Jets were the very definition of limping into the playoffs in '09; 9-7 off of two season-ending wins against teams that had already secured their seed.

You're joking, right?

Fiedler's first year: 11-5, division title, lost in divisional round (note: Sanchez has yet to win a division title)
Fiedler's second year: 11-5, tied for best record in AFCE but lost on tiebreakers, lost in wild card round

I guess you're saying that when Miami traded for Ricky, I was happy with Fiedler's overall performance to that point?  Um, not quite.

Nope I never said that at all. What I said was you would have more fun. Never said you would specifically be happy with the QB play.

Something about Kolb that makes me think he's different.  I want him.

I have to agree.  I'd rather take Kolb over Orton at this point.  Kolb isn't exactly a bust.  He had his moments in Philly, and is overall a solid QB.  Trouble is, Michael Vick was spectacular.

On Kolb vs Orton, I think Kolb is the better QB, but either would upgrade Miami's QB situation and provide a little stability to the offense. I'd be happy to see Miami land either one.

My beloved 49ers are going with Alex "doll hands" Smith under center again this season, at least until Colin Kaepernick gets ready. I've read some good things about Kapernick this offseason, so hopefully he'll be the long-term answer at the most important position for SF.

On another 49ers note, though it affects Miami as well... I keep hearing that SF is the only team standing between the NY Jets getting Nnamdi Asomugha and fielding arguably the scariest cornerback tandem ever with Darrelle Revis.  Can I get a few 'Phins fans to shout out a "Go Niners!" on that scene?
