Actually he retired midway thru last season.  This is just the paperwork.

This actually surprises me a little bit. I know he was not worth a shit last year but I did not see him calling it a career.

^^&NE offered him a one year deal AFTER signing Ochocinco to a 3-year deal.  Jets also offered him a one year deal. 

The reason why he had a hissy fit last year in NE is BB wouldn't give a long term contract.  I guess his ego said it was better to retire than play on a team in which he wasn't going to be a starter.
