I don't know that the moves made by these teams equate to the Heat's moves. I'm not really impressed with NE signing Haynesworth at all.

If this thread had been about the Eagles, rather than Pats/Jets, I might buy in to the whole HEAT reference a little more... They absolutely raked it in the past week or so.

Damn.  I must have missed the one hour ESPN TV special.  I would have loved to DVR the special in which Ocho, Haynesworth dance with BB and BB boasts and brags and promises to bring NE more than 7 Superbowl rings.

I never saw a press conference where the Heat, Pat Riley, or anyone from the organization, got to the podium and said "we're going to win the next 10 NBA titles in a row"

I do, however, recall some buffoon from the Mavericks saying something like "not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4...."

If players say "we're going to win it all" that's called confidence.  Why the hate for the Heat?  Just because they went and signed some free agents...?

Dallas gets a pass from me on that press conference for one reason- they've already won one more than the Heat. If Miami had done that, I'd have no issue with them saying whatever they want. Maybe since there's a lockout, they can find a league that only plays three quarters? -EK
