Maybe it is just me, but it bothers me to hear these retired QB's bad mouthing current QB's. If you don't have anything good to say, STFU. While saying he had a bad game or needs this or that is one thing. To say he (Romo) needs replaced is going too far IMO.
Actually I heard what Theismann said and I don't recall him saying that Romo should be replaced. He basically said that he is what he is and that he's not a great QB. I didn't have a problem with what Theismann said, most of it I completely agreed with. He's not as great as some people make him out to be (especially those in Dallas). He's very inconsistent. How many times have you heard coaches talk about being consistent? Well Romo isn't. He has tremendous upside but he needs to be more consistent to be considered an elite QB. That's not exactly what Theismann said, but it's not that far off from it either.
