Clyde Gates had 7 catches for 82 yards .... WTH is that?  We couldn't get him, or others, to catch crap. Is is us or them? I have to wonder if we need a better receivers coach.

He was going against a defense he was familiar with.  He knew the personnel and knew their tendencies.  He's had his day in the sun.

The catches were in garbage time.  They are irrelevant.

And when all the Dolphins cared about were not letting him get behind the defense. When they got down into the redzone he and Sachez were shut out. That's all that you care about at that time.

Ok. Well he certainly didn't do it for us in garbage time, between the 20s or anywhere else.

How could he, he was rarely on the field and when he was he was always the 3rd or 4th option on a route. I think this says more about the state of the Jets receiving corp then anything. The Jets had Tebow going out on pass patterns Sunday. Is Tebow really an option to catch a pass?

He couldn't sniff the field on the Dolphins.  He only has to be better than Hill and Schillens to get on the Jets' field.  Not much competition there.

He has never done anything like that when the game wasn't already out of hand.

+1

And I liked the way he showboated after each catch and spun the ball on the ground, real smart moves when the clock is running down and you need to conserve every second.  A real team player would run over and hand the ball to the ref so he could spot it for the next play and save some clock time.
