What do you say or call...(pt1)

Sorry I've been slammed at work,I thought the how we say maps Brian found,were interesting but left me wondering other things....(I've got a bunch,and it seemed like more kept coming the more I looked into it)..

So I'll start with 10...There might be multiple answers,because you might call something different depending where it's at,or how you use it.Just because I describe things horridly,some answers have words in parentheses so you know what I'm trying to describe,it's not multiple choice answer that you have to choose.you might call it something else...


1.) What do you call your Parents Parents?

2.) What do you call the stuff you put on your toast? (butter,margarine,Spread,some brand name Parkay,Country crock,Land o'lakes,etc)

3.) A (usually sweet) carbonated beverage is called? (Pop,Soda,fountain drink a brand Coke,Pepsi,Sprite,Mt Dew,etc,etc)

4.) What do you most often call the place where you use the toilet? (bathroom,restroom,latrine,Lew,head,can shitter,water closet,etc)

5.) Those things you eat,(usually served in the morning ) a sweet batter poured in a hot skillet,or griddle till golden brown are? (pancakes,slapjacks,flap jacks,griddle cakes)

6.) What do you call the strip of grass between the Sidewalk,and the Street?

7.) Those little bumps you get on your body when your cold? (goosebumps,duck bumps,Chill bumps)

8.) What do you call that long cushy piece of furniture in your living room,Den,Mancave that you can sit,or lay on? (couch,sofa,davenport,divan)

9.) A covered platform, usually having a separate roof, at an entrance to a building? (porch,gallery,veranda)

10.) Word for something that's not straight or level (askew,awry,slated,etc,etc google askew,it messed with me)

1.) grandma (last name)  grandpa (last name),except my dad's mom,Is granny my last name...

3.) I don't drink the stuff,but I call it a coke...
4.) I started calling it a water closet the past 5 years or so,but when I'm asking someone else where one is in public, I ask where the bathroom facilities are I have no clue why..
