I'm curious your thoughts on it.I see some of the companies end up on Shark tank to beg for more money. Then saw an article about some Cooler that was one of the most popular kickstarter projects, and they have no cash to send out the product.

There are always a couple things I tend to to find on Kickstarter that make me go...Ohhh I like that,or the product. I've never backed one,a few to me seem like they just want too much to get the product. "Hey you want this thing you need to plunk out $100-$500+ for it"

Another one I loved the idea for it,but thought the design needed a couple of generations to be really awesome. It never even got anywhere near it's small goal.

I saw this one and liked it,but $50+ for it....

Ehhh...

I really got into solar powered outdoor lights (not the $2 walmart 1 light on a stake kind,a little higher up).I got my 750 lumen one,for the same price, and it has a separate solar panel, and separate motion sensor,3 different modes.Sure it's not as pretty or near as efficient in terms of how long it takes to recharge.

I bought 3 on special on amazon as a daily deal for just over $7 a piece,It sent me on this journey... Undecided

I'm curious your thoughts on crowdfunding, kickstarter, and have you backed anything...How did it turn out?

I have never even considered looking into it so I'm curious to see if anyone has and their thoughts.

I have, but it was for a very close friend to finish his album. I've never backed  a random campaign.

I never have, no.  If I were to do something like this, it likely wouldn't be for a physical product, but more to go towards a revival of a movie or TV franchise that I loved.

My wife actually bought into that kickstarter. It actually did phenomenal, one of, if not the most, donated to kickstarter for a board game. It's quite a fun game, too.
