I don't know a ton about TPP, but on the surface, it sounds like it's politically unpopular, but necessary.

Hillary is running against it (but only after her base forced her to change her position).  Trump is running against it, too...calling it a disaster.  But House Republics and Obama are both supporting it.

It sounds kinda like the debt ceiling -- something nobody is happy about, but they understand it's for the best.

I just don't think we're ever going back to the old days of manufacturing our own goods and having them be good paying jobs where you can work at the factory and still have a 4 bedroom house and two cars.  Such a world doesn't exist unless you want to pay $30 for slippers at Walmart, instead of $8.

It feels like a lie that Trump, Clinton, and Sanders are not being honest with the American people, if they are pitching the idea that we're going to be manufacturing goods in middle America again.

Honestly I don't know much about what it really entails. I know it includes reduced or eliminated tariffs and something about doesn't enforce child labor laws. What I do know is that negotiations were secret and no one got to see it until after it was approved. That never seems to lead to anything good.

At least I'm not alone in the I admit I'm not really versed enough to speak intelligently on the subject crowd.

I, too, have not yet researched it thoroughly.

I'd have to research more, but it doesn't sound like a good idea to me. I don't see what's so different now than it was in the good old days you refer to? Things could work like that. However, I think greed had played more a role than anything else.

I admit, I don't understand it fully,or read enough one way or another...I see my Senators from my,both voted Yes 1 Democrat, and 1 Republican.

I read through this BBC news article
http://www.bbc.com/news/business-32498715

I really lean No,mainly for a few reasons from the couple things I read...

- I feel it helps the big business of agriculture,a win/win especially in the foreign owned/investors in American Agriculture, and not really the small farmer.

- I feel it's a lot like deregulation in business,It sounds better in theory, than actual practice.
