Free Agency starts March 18th.

Tua throws for NFL scouts and shows medicals around mid-April.

NFL draft starts April 23rd.

Nothing to do before then but speculate.

The combine is when fringe prospects show off arm strength or a leaping ability and elevate themselves into a draft position that they don't deserve and the team immediately regrets.

The tags are important though.

The most important parts of the combine are the medical checks and interviews.  The underwear olympics should not be taken too seriously.  If the guy can't get open against college DBs it doesn't matter that he has a fast 40 time.  If he can get open it doesn't matter if his 40 time is not that great.

Tua's agent says he's throwing in April. Mark my words, it doesn't happen or is the equivalent of when I saw Duante Culpepper throw on one leg in warmups. I haven't seen anything  leading me to believe this hip injury will be fine. Do any of you know people with bad hips? He is fucked.

If he isn't healed or healed enough to plant his legs and throw like he would in an NFL game, then there is no point in him even trying. There is enough game tape where we don't need to see him throw at 60%.

Most people with bad hips don't have youth and the best doctors in the world on their side.

The Combine is a great scouting tool. So many players there that we've likely never seen during their college years. You also get to see positional mechanics, one-on-ones with the linemen, etc...

The Combine rocks...and this year, like every past year, I will watch every fucking second that it is on TV. :-)
