Bechton Failed Drug Test at Combine

Okay, maybe not many of you are big draft nerds like I am so I apologize if I'm starting a threat that nobody cares about.  But OT star of the Combine, Mekhi Becton was flagged for failing a drug test at the Combine.  Becton is supposed to be a Top 10 pick this week (before the disclosure yesterday about the drug test).   Apparently he never failed one in college.  If it was for pot or PEDs, maybe, just maybe he would drop to 18.  Kinda like when the Tunsil video came out on draft night a few years ago and he fell to the Dolphins.  It sure would be nice to see the Fins pick up one of the top 3 OTs in the draft all the way down at #18.

Marijuana teams can overlook, even though the timing of it shows poor judgement on his part. However, PEDs? That's a humongous red flag. He would be on the league's radar now so he can definitely drop to 20 now.

If Becton drops out of the top ten, the Bucs will gobble him up at 14.  They need offensive linemen in the worst way now that they have the GOAT

A lot of folks fail drug tests at the combine. Until I get something more specific, I still have Becton as my #1 OT prospect in this class.

Yeah, I know it is pretty much wishful thinking for me.  But a guy can dream.  I think I have him behind Wills.  But he is definitely my #2 OT prospect.
