Since we haven't seen temps above freezing for a month or so now, the Kazakhs decided to make use of the ice.  If you have any doubt I'm freezing my ass off out here, check these out:

I dig the Taj Mahal best out of all these frozen bits of art...but the Parthenon is pretty cool too.

I actually really like it when artists do humongous sculptures. Up in Seattle, an artist created this giant sand-troll under the Aurora bridge, and even put a VW bug in the troll's hand like he was squeezing the car. (pls excuse the image size)

That troll statue is not too far from Seattle's statue of Lenin.  Not John Lennon.  Vladimir Lenin.   Yes, the left-wing whackos in Seattle have statue of Vladimir Lenin.  Rumor has that they're working on statues of Arafat, Hussein and bin Laden.   One person foolishly suggested a statue of Reagan and has not been seen since.
