Battlefield 1942 (2002, PC)
EA Games
Set in World War II, Battlefield 1942 is a first-person shooting game unlike any other. This was one of the most popular games due largely to its internet multiplayer ability, and also due to the control that you had over your character – they could not only run or walk, but could fly fighter aircraft planes, drive tanks and jeeps, control stationary ground weapons, and even commandeer naval battleships.
