The Miami Dolphins signed guard Donald Thomas, the second of their three sixth-round draft choices this year, to a multi-year contract. The Dolphins now have signed five of their nine 2008 draft choices.

Thomas was a four-year letterman (2003, 2005-07) at the University of Connecticut where he played in 34 games, including 15 starts at guard, all coming over his final two years after he began his collegiate career as a defensive lineman. Thomas attended Hill Regional Career Magnet High School in New Haven, Conn.
