The Miami Dolphins today waived/failed physical offensive lineman Drew Mormino. Mormino, a sixth-round draft choice of the club in 2007, spent his entire rookie season on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.

Now What?,Where are all you guy's ,when I questioned Depth at our Interior Line, that Said "Oh we have Drew Mormino that can play center if something happens to Satele"?

I still don't like the idea our starting guard is going to be some scrub from what's left off the free agent scrap heap,or a 6th round pick....(both Mormino, and the kid we drafted in the 6th round are fighting for the starting left  guard, now Mormino is gone...)

We have Shaun Murphy OT who we drafted in the 4th round, and Donald Thomas OG who we drafted in the 6th round

As of right now, our line appears to be this (from Left to right)
Jake Long- Justin Smiley- Samson Satele- Shawn Murphy- Vernon Carey

Or in terms of years, thats:
rookie- 5th yr player- 2nd yr player- rookie- 5th yr player

Its good for a line to grow together, but it also makes it a rough season.

Well, flush one more draft pick down the toilet.  I guess Jake Long can have #77 now.

Cam Cameron's draft is being dismantled..... piece by piece.  I'll bet that by season's end, if not training camp's end, Kelvin Smith and Paul Solai will not be Dolphins anymore either.

If a guy you draft in the 5th, 6th or 7th doesn't work out -- I don't call it a disaster.  If you blow a first or second round pick, that is flushing one down the toilet.

Both will get their share of chances to be a part of this team's future though.  Keep this in mind, Kelvin Smith was recruited by and played his freshman year at Syracuse under our current Defensive Coordinator, Paul Pasqualoni.

He was waived because he failed his physical eh?  That tells me this clusterfuck didn't put a lot of effort into his rehab.  If that's the case, he got what he deserved.

Well, you really can't tell with injuries. Sometimes they just dont heal like they should. Especially a shoulder, or say a knee.

If you're taking care of yourself and rehabbing properly, injuries should heal properly.  Remember when it was a surprise when he went on injured reserve last season?

As someone who has had both shoulder and knee surguries this statement is total bullshit. You can bust your ass in rehab and still not have it come back.
