Fact is, while JJ hit on some draft picks, he missed badly on others. The defense improved and the offense tanked badly. He came in here with a big ego, stomped all over Shula's legacy, promised a Super Bowl, and didn't deliver. Nuff said.
I hear ya. I still shutter at the mention of the name.........Yatil green.
But he was trying hard to get Dan some weapons. Dave Wannastedt got us to the Playoffs first year out with the Team that JJ built. Had JJ stuck around maybe 1-2 more seasons he would have gotten us and Dan to the big dance. I have no doubts.
