Dolphins Sign Shawn Murphy

The Miami Dolphins today signed guard Shawn Murphy, their fourth-round draft choice this year, to a multi-year contract. The Dolphins now have signed all but three of their nine 2008 draft choices.

Murphy played his final two collegiate seasons at Utah State (2006-07), during which time he started all 24 games, including 12 at left guard as a senior when he was a second-team All-Western Athletic Conference selection. He opened all 12 contests at left tackle as a junior. He also attended Ricks (Utah) Junior College in 2001 and Dixie State (Utah) Community College in 2005. From 2002-04, he served an LDS mission in Brazil.

I just read the draft preview and it said he was raw but had a lot of potential and was a sleeper. Lets hope it is true and we are well on our way to having a strong O line for many years.
