What is our linebacking group going to look like with Taylor gone?

I figure...
OLB - MLB - MLB - OLB
Merling - Ayodele - Crowder - Porter

What does the set-up look like with Taylor here? Is Merling still going to be getting time at OLB and/or situational 3rd down looks at DE? These are some things that I am really wondering about coming into training camp.

The Taylor story seems to have died down, but I don't think it's a given that he's gone.  I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he played for us next year.

People can bitch about taylor all they want, but the fact remains without him your one of the worst 5 defenses in the league. He's the only game changing defensive player you have. No taylor equals alot of 30pt games for opposing offenses.

Then again, we are completely moving his position. Sure, the Defensive End is similar to the Outside Linebacker, but it is not the same thing by a long-shot. This same argument can be made for the Roy Williams to OLB talk. We are just assuming he is going to come out and play well in this defense, doing something he has had a bit of experience with by dropping back into coverage. I think the question marks about how Taylor fit into this defense are really pivotal for this year.

The same question marks were raised when Saban took over. All Saban did was turn Taylor into DPOY. Trust me a player a taylor's caliber won't have a problem fitting into any system.

It's completely different, Saban didn't switch him from one position to another. Taylor has a completely different set of responsibilities right now, and he's not even in practice to start learning it.
