It is always disappointing to me to see any person go to prison.  I wish that the world was better.

I won't go into details and naming names but I know several professional players out here that are retired that played with or against O.J. at USC and with the Buffalo Bills and the comments are not good.

Also, Nicole Simpson wasn't no saint. She was a high price call girl hooked on heroin when O.J. met her and she and O.J. had ties to the Mob Syndicate in Los Angeles. One former USC player that went on to a 14 year career in the NFL told me that USC was a school that had a lot of mob ties and in Hollywood, that's possible. He said that USC has been paying players under the table for years and the NCAA turns their heads the other way when it comes to USC because there is a lot of money flowing through the school for sports. O.J. was one of those players that got special privileges from boosters and could run unchecked on campus and have people do his homework and get into fights.

So think back to the Reggie Bush fiasco and the Todd Marinovich scenario and you get the picture. USC has created outstanding players and a lot of them were paid off by boosters who were able to stop or halt investigations because of their influence. Some of these boosters are the biggest names in Hollywood.

So while all these other schools get sanctioned and get the death penalty, USC basically has always received a free pass or a slap on the wrist.

A couple of guys told me that O.J. had a BIG gambling problem back in the 90's and was borrowing money from loan sharks in L.A. that had those same ties to the underworld. That's what led to the whole situation. They wanted their money back.

I feel that O.J. knew who killed Nicole and had to be quiet about it or else, he was going to get killed.  At the same time, Nicole was still doing her thing on the side and this of course made O.J. mad because no one controls O.J. Simpson.

Throw in the incompetence of the L.A. Police Department and you have one big circus which his trial 13 years ago was.

No one deserves to die but when you are running with seedy people and are into underworld operations, you spin the wheel everyday. I know because my father was a drug dealer and kingpin in Miami.

So they both were living in seedy worlds.

But O.J. thinks that he's indestructible. I never trusted the way that he came across on T.V. I remember when he was a sideline reporter doing a Dolphins-Jets game a few years back and he didn't know that he was on the air from the studio in New York. You could hear him cussing his cameraman out and when he realized the Bob Costas had went to him live, he put on that fake smile like nothing had happened.

Whenever you carry a gun and hold somebody against their will, you're looking at prison time. O.J. must have thought that he was in the movies. You only get away with stuff like that in the movies.

From the time he was a teen getting into trouble, through USC and the NFL and then post football, O.J. Simpson NEVER matured as a man.

Jim Brown said it best about O.J. Simpson. Brown stated that Simpson is out of touch with reality and fake.

EXTRA NOTE: I always get flamed for bringing up the dark side in sports on this web-site and I know that some of you use this as an escape from the country crashing like the Roman Empire at this time but this is one of the reasons why the country is crashing. NO ETHICS, control or common sense. People turn a blind eye over to obvious facts almost about anything and never really check things out.

Simpson was worshipped as a God. Back when I was a kid watching him, he could do no wrong. He was one of the first black athletes to do commercials (Hertz Rent-A-Car) and when the Bills played the Dolphins, I would pray that the Dolphin D would put him out of the game.

Now some of you may believe this is conspiracy stuff and it's not. I know a lot of ex-NFL players and people in the loop and for some reason, it's hard for people to believe that even though a person isn't in sports journalism that they are just a fan who knows nothing. I worked out with these guys and you won't believe how the NFL runs behind closed doors or how these prestigious college programs have ties to organized crime. If there is betting on sports events, you can believe that some kind of organized crimes goes along with it (see 1991 UNLV investigation by the Las Vegas Police Department NOT the NCAA)

I watched the verdict live the other night, and OJ just doesn't get it.I saw the look on his face as he was being led from the courtroom in handcuffs, like,"Hey,wait just a minute,I am O.J. Simpson!Isn't anyone gonna do something?"Dude is totally out of touch with reality. In my heart of hearts,I will always believe he killed Nicole and Ron,too much evidence, too much violence. This is oftentimes the end result of kissing a person's ass their entire life just because they can score touchdowns that make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

With wisdom comes conservative values.   Wink

Actually, in terms of prison, I've gotten both more liberal and more conservative at the same time.  It depends on the individual.

For some people who commit a crime, putting them in jail for a long time only turns them into a violent criminal thug, unable to operate in society.  They would've learned their lesson and changed their life after being in jail for a relatively short time behind bars.

But for others, no matter how long they're away, no matter how many chances, no matter what situation they're given, they are completely unable to function among the regular population and you might as well just throw away the key.

It took 13 years for justice to be served.  Here's hoping the next 13 are spent with OJ Simpson in jail.
