1. The Dolphins are not that good.
2. The Dolphins keep finding ways to win despite being not that good.

I'll take it, though.

I was thinking today, how much better I feel after winning a game against a bad team, vs. playing well and losing a close game.

We used to do this under Shula all the time.  We'd find a way to win games, even when we weren't playing all that well.  Maybe it's naive, but I always have a "at least we got the win, maybe we can shake it off by next week" mentality.  It usually doesn't happen, but it makes me feel pretty good about the team in the interim.

Oh yea, I will definitely take the win, but I am not going to get all excited about playoff possibilities.

in the nfl it's called parity... frankly, most teams aren't that good. just look at the afc east, one of the supposed "better" divisions in the league. the bills started off looking legit, and i mean looked crrraaapppy today. the jets? wow they got spanked, at home, by a very average broncos team (btw - the broncos will probably win that division with what might be the same record as the fins). the pats? whoa, what a beatdown they took today...

point is, there are a 2-3 teams in each conference that are really good. the rest are all about the same, middle of the pack teams.

Wins are wins no matter how ugly it is.   No matter how bad a team is, every game is going to be a fight. That what Football is about.

Things about the game live….(Dolphins stuff)
- It was my First Dolphins game, I went with My Cousin (who’s a Dolphins fan, and the Guy I credit for making me a Dolphins fan) His second Dolphins game his first in 23 years…We took his best friend (Rams fan) and met up with another one of his friends another Rams fan….

- I wanted to see Ted Ginns’ Speed Live…I remembered Philly talking about, You don’t see how fast he  is until you’re in the stadium…I only got one glimpse, first quarter the dolphins were coming towards us. I think it was a third down play, I was watching the Middle of the defense (the play went to my right, O play Left…) Out of my left eye I caught a glimpse of white, it was Ginn Flying down the sideline…I missed what happened in the play I Ginn was running through the End zone….(Chad never even looked his way )

- Fasano’s  catch, Chad should have never thrown the pass, under pressure across his body…It was an awesome catch…Live it was a great catch….

- Devone Bess  looked really good in person, and is tiny on the field…Almost midget like….He’s faster than  I thought…He had one Punt return right in front of us, He caught it I think at the 9 yard like….Made something out of nothing…There wasn’t anything there….It was wicked to see…I’ve never been on special teams….and Have never seen that point of view….

- Jake long looks just as big, or bigger live, as he does on T.V.

- 3- 4 Plays  turned the game for us (besides the ints) IMO, at the stadium …1.) Obviously the  Martin Fumble….2.) The Holding call that brought back the Ricky TD ( We were at the other end ,and weren’t positive who was carrying the ball that play…) 3.) The Rams were driving (3rd quarter), Going away  from us (we were behind  Bulger) They ran a little play action roll out to the right…The Miami D all bit hard on Steven Jackson, Klopfenstein, and Avery Ran outs to the right…Bulger under almost No pressure wings it way over  the Big Te’s head to the right, Holt was running  a post/skinny post pattern wide open on the left side…

- Number 41 Thomas on our Defense Sucks ass…..Yeah he made some tackles during the game, but Right off the bat the Rams went to attacking him he had the 2 penalties on the opening drives…We couldn’t figure out who the hell is this guy, why is he playing….then why isn’t Jason Allen playing?

- The Akin Ayodele in the was facing us when he ran it back…Nice grab….My Cousin was Psychic a Couple times….Holt Offensive Pass Interference…He was right…Then he Called the second Pick.. (R. Hill Int) This play We’re going to get our Second Int….

-Non Dolphins general being at the Game stuff….

- Parking 6 rows from the stadium is only awesome, when your seats aren’t on the other end of the stadium…and When you’re leaving a “downtown” stadium the police/people directing traffic don’t direct you farther, and farther away from the highway that you’re trying to get on, through residential neighborhoods, that aren’t prepared for this type of traffic…

- The Amount of Dolphin Fans at the Game. When I met up with Stl finfan, and Beefstewart, and his wife at halftime…We were all surprised …There were lots of Dolphins fans at the game…Pretty big pockets of them in areas also…Living where I do it was a real trip seeing so many People wearing Dolphins stuff…At home, If I see someone wearing Dolphins stuff…We stop and talk for 20 minutes…We stick out like sore thumbs in the seas of Chiefs, Rams, and Cowboys fans…

- I’ve always been on the field, or the sidelines to a game.. and never a dome…The eerie Silence of the stadium at times….It was like a Library, there wasn’t a mummer through the stadium like people talking, nothing….Even at a Baseball games when you don’t hear anything, there’s that mummer of people talking, and people there….There were a few times I was Yelling Go Defense, Come on we need a big play, etc, Etc.. Between hearing everything on tv., and being on the sidelines, I’m used to hearing all the popping of the pads, people screaming and yelling ,music in the background ….

- Mad Props to the fans that were there of both teams, I know the Rams aren’t our rivals or anything…The Ram fans were all laid back joking with us, and made the experience very fun…There was only one incident that I saw, a Dolphin fan a section over getting lippy to some of the rams fans…Even after the game, everyone seemed Jovial…

- Edward Jones dome Was really Cool, very nice, Clean…The Stadium music Stunk what little they played…Even the rams Fans that were with us Complained ..I thought of Dave Gray, and Brian Fein Complaining about Dolphins stadium…

I have to Give a big thanks to Stl. Fin fan for all her help in getting me to my first Dolphins game…I’m sorry I didn’t get to spend more time with her, and Talking with Beef Stewart (in Which I wish he’d post more)

A couple of  pics of Lil B, Stl finfan, and Beefstewart and I at the game….(I wish someone would have informed me I had Nachos down the front of me before we took the picture..Lol )

I have a few game pics, My Cousin took a lot of good pics of the players, but I need to work on them,The zoom lowered the quality of the pics….My pics all look like from a mile away…I couldn’t get my camera to zoom…

There are 3 games next season that the non Florida fans could go to that would be close enough for Miami and Orlando residents to go to...At Tennessee, at Atlanta, at Jacksonville, and at Carolina. The only problem is that 3 out of the 4 teams could also be defending Super Bowl Champs next year, so tickets might be a little hard to get.  Tongue

I'm definitely going to the Jacksonville game.  I also might rally the Central Florida TDMMC group.
