After seeing all of ESPN's coverage of Sampras vs Agassi in the Haiti charity event doubles match, where they got into a little trash talking about some of the stuff Andre had written about Sampras in his recent tell-all book, which led to both doing bad imitations of each other and culminated with Sampras buzzing a serve at Andre's skull (firing one across the brow?), I think it should be mandatory in all sports that if one player writes something or says something about another player, they be required to face each other the following season. If the players are retired, they are obligated to an exhibition match. If active, the league's schedule-maker should immediately adjust the schedule to arrange the face-to-face matchup of the two players as early in the season as possible.

Sports is about human conflict, and I want that conflict to get personal, with combatants mic'ed up in surround sound, and a dozen high-def cameras rolling...on...one...
