It just came across the news at 3 AM -- There are 2 or 3 provisions to the health care bill in the Senate (something about the student loan thing) and this will have to go back to the House for another vote.

Look forward to more shenanigans!

Not that I'm saying they don't but I'm betting many things in that bill have nothing to do with health care. There were many last minute deals to go with the previous deals.

the "fixing" bill has to go back to the house .. the actual healthcare bill is already signed and put into law .. that bill is done and done and this won't affect it at all.. what they're talking about here is the supplemental budget bill that they're working on to remove things like the money granted to nebraska and some of the pork in the original bill.

apparently the republicans in the senate are for pork and wasteful government spending. .. especially those that campaigned against it

There was something in the bill about the government taking over some student loan programs.  It was a way that they were getting some money to pay for the bill.
