Nope. As Spider correctly said in the other thread, even if the Dolphins had scored on the two drives stopped by Int's, they still would have lost due to the points given up by special teams.

Haven't even watched your video, but as everyone else is saying, by the time Henne threw the pick 6 (which was Marshalls fault), the team was down by 20. At that point in time, special teams gave up 21. I think you've mentioned that you were a kicker, and because of that, you probably don't want to give the ST the fault. But clearly they did more damage.

- Come out of the half, and you are up 7-6. The kickoff goes into the endzone, and the guy decides to bring it out. Not only does ST fail to stuff him, they let him return it 103 yds! Pats 13- Fins 7
- Offense fails to get a first down. Punting unit comes out to punt it away. Every fan probable crosses their fingers and says to themselves "I hope we don't let them get a big return". Blocking sucks and the punt is blocked. NE gets the ball in the red zone and scores a TD. Pats 20- Fins 7.
- Fins are able to put a scoring drive together. Pats 20- Fins 14. Now if the ST hadn't just cost them 14 points, the Fins would've had a lead. Instead, the Pats put together another drive and go up 27- 14.
- We're still in this right? Offense drives down field and the Fins go for a long FG. Blocked, and returned for a TD. Pats 34- Fins 14. Hmmmm, Fins are down by 20. ST gave up 21 of the 28 points scored up till then in the second half....

Well, you seemed appropriately bummed, that's for sure.  Frankly, I don't know how this game would've turned out if Henne had not thrown the two picks.  The Pats looked almost rattled in the first quarter, and for all we know, they, instead of the Dolphins, would've been hit by the avalanche of bad plays.  The only thing I know is we looked horrible on special teams and bad on offense after a great start.

You're making some improper assumptions, too.  You can't just give us 7 points when we're in the red zone.  This team isn't known or converting everything.  So, to think that we'd be up 21-3 is just not right.  ...maybe we get field goals there.  It's harder to move the ball within the 20 yard line, since you have more defenders in less space.

In short, you are wrong about your Henne assessment.

Henne didn't cost us the game.  OUR SPECIAL TEAMS WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR 21 POINTS AGAINST.  You can't overcome that.  The picks were bad, but Henne still had a TD pass and over 300 yards.  Not a good game, but not the abortion that was our special teams.
