Phillies Hire Ryne Sandburg to manage their AAA Team

I admit, I'm not terribly broke up that's he's not going to coach Iowa (Cubs AAA Affiliate) I feel like,a lot of the fans would use it as an excuse the first losing skid we go in.Fire Quade,and promote Sandberg to manage the big league club.I feel we're gonna suck for a few years,personally I thought Bob Brenly could do the best job,with this laughable bunch of personalities.We have too many players with big contracts under performing,so we're sort of in a holding pattern till they clear some of these big contracts.

For Sandberg,I hope he get's a shot to manage in the Big leagues...I just hope it's not with Chicago Cubs

Same reason really,He's set up to fail...As a bench coach, I still think fans and media would push to fire Quade,and replace him with Sandburg as soon as the team starts to falter...

Oh I completely agree with the current assessment. I was generally just speaking about after he had proven himself. Hopefully the Cubs will be in a better position by then.
