Didn't Thigpen hit two guys in the head on 3rd down plays (one to a TE the other to Moore)?  Then there were two plays that I can think of as crappy drops... one by Marshal and one by Bess which were both easy catches.

Also factor in that Ricky fumbled right as the team was getting into scoring position and the defense couldn't get off the field and I would say Thigpen had a pretty solid game.

Did you notice how they blitzed Henne but not Thigpen?  That alone tells you something.  I say keep Thigpen regardless of starting vs backup.  They can figure that out once we get a new coordinator and QB coach.

Last thing...  It is time to give Tepop some credit for his foresight.  Henne does not appear to be the guy to allow us to be a top tier team.  Henne's two minute awareness alone tells me he is not the guy.  Regardless of coaching, any idiot knows when you don't have the time to dump a ball off down the middle and he screwed that up multiple times this year.  He has a good arm and can at times show good accuracy, but he is too slow in decision making and mobility to overcome his inconsistency.

Which only confirms what Henne supporters (me) have been saying all year, that the problems go much deeper than QB, regardless of whether it's Thigpen or Henne.

What it tells you is that Thigpen is more mobile and does a better job of creating with his feet.  No argument there.  However that doesn't mean that Thigpen is a better option at QB, unless he does something with that ability.  He hasn't proven he can.

Well it's not like anyone here was saying that Henne was the savior of the team. Let's say that I agree that Henne sucks.  Did Henne give up 38 points to New England?  No that was the defense and special teams doing that.  Did Thigpen invigorate the offense when he got in there?  No, he couldn't get anything going in the 2 chances that he had.  He looked as confused as Henne ever did this year when he started against Chicago.  He did nothing on 6 drives and then was helped by a long New England penalty to get a TD in garbage time against New Englands 2nd string.  Does that make him the saviour of this team?  Hardly.  If Henne sucks than Thigpen isn't any better which means he sucks too.  Which is more likely, that Thigpen sucks as bad as Henne or that Thigpen is great and just hasn't gotten his chance to show it yet?  He had plenty of chances in Kansas City to prove how good he was and they let him go for Matt Cassell.  No offense to Matt Cassell, but he isn't any more a savior to a team than Henne is.

That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
