I hope you took some pictures of the launch.  Would love to see what it looks like from the water.  I'm sad that I missed it....

Those are some great pictures.  Wish I could have seen it.  I assume you took the photos from your sailboat.  Where were you anchored?

I was originally docked in Port Canaveral, but I managed to anchor near the Merrit Island National Wildlife Refuge for a better view.   On my way to St. Augustine.

Those photos are impressive.  The few times I have taken photos on the boat you could tell they were taken a weird angle.

How do you manage to keep your camera so straight on a rocking boat?  Is there some sort of special tripod that can compensate?

The boat wasn't rocking that much that day as there wasn't much in the way of waves.  Therefore, I was able to snap off three quick shots while keeping my aim steady.

What's bizarre, Landshark, is that the pictures you took looked awfully familiar to me.  Ryan Matzner happens to be someone who I follow on twitter:

http://twitter.com/rdm

The exact pictures that you posted were also posted by Ryan on his website and he linked that website on his twitter account.  Those exact pictures, not similar pictures but exact same pictures are also found here:

I'm wondering why that is? Has something been misunderstood about these pictures that you took?

I hope that is the case because those pictures are the legal property of mashable.com.

I don't see mashable asserting copyright on them, just like they aren't asserting copyright on the NASA photos they also posted.

The copyright holder, barring any transfer, is whomever took the photos.

I really don't care if Landshark broke any federal laws copyright laws.

But I do have an issue with someone claiming he took pictures that he didn't take.
