Mike Nolan gets slack because (1) he's a good coach and (2) its the first game.  The Dolphins special teams had been crap for at least 4-5 games last season before that guy got fired.

In 4 weeks, if the defense still looks this bad, I will agree with you.

Yeah I simply can not pick between these two assbags so my vote goes to Sapp and Carroll.....I was cursing their names all night long.

I was also not impressed with our pass rush at all last night or our linebackers. Even Dansby looked bad last night and he is usually pretty solid.

The run on 2 and 23 really pissed me off as well and the fact that we could not figure out how to gain one yard was pretty shitty too.

We also tried to force Reggie Bush the ball and expected him to do something big with it in the first half it seemed he was the entire focus of the offense.

I had a rare oppurtunity to watch this game, having recorded it, last night. (I get all MNF games on ESPN)

Whilst I have no issues with the critisism aimed at the secondary, the shame of the game should go to whoever coaches tackling.

The number of times a Dolphins player flew into the ball carrier and didn't wrap them up, or blew stright bast because they didn't break down and get their head up. Simple short catches were taken an extra 5-6 yards and runs where contact was made after barely a yard went for a 1st down because the players were too busy looking for a hit rather than a tackle.

^^^Yeah I was kind of wondering whether Belichek sprayed his players with cooking oil because they ran right through Dolphins "tacklers" with ease.

LMAO at whoever mentioned Cam Wake. Solder is a 6'8" 330 pound monster with long arms and sick strength, who also only had to play mostly in the second half, so he had quite a bit more gas in his tank than Wake. Cam still got a sack and a few hurries. Every time he doesn't get three sacks is someone going to give him a SOTG?? Get real. -EK
