for 2 first round picks, 2012 and conditional 2013.

Looks like Carson finally got his wish and got traded from cincy.

I wonder how much Palmer has been practicing. This late in the season I bet he thought for sure he was not going anywhere. I certainly did. That seems like a lot to give up at this stage but it is the Raiders (even with Al Davis gone it appears).

So Oakland won't have a draft pick until the third round in 2012.

correction: they won't be picking until the 5th round.

1st round pick: to Cinci for Palmer, a QB
2nd round pick: to NE
3rd round pick: used in supplemental draft to get Terrelle Pryor, a QB
4th round pick: to Washington for Campbell, a QB

Wow.

What was that about Mike Brown never giving up the rights to Palmer again?

I like Palmer so good for the Raiders. He is light years ahead of Boller and Pryor. I am sure Campbell will be finding a new location next season as well if they keep Carson ( I have no idea how long his contract is).

I would have made this trade if I was Mike Brown.  From getting nothing to getting two first rounders. that's a no brainer to me.

Wow, great deal for Cincy.  Cincy has the picks to trade for Luck if they want.

I think Cincy is happy with Dalton (who they drafted in the first round this year).  Why would they draft Luck?  Our competition is with Indy or KC right now.

Raiders have a chance to WIN NOW. They are going for it. Don't fault them for that. This wasn't planned, if Campbell doesn't go down they aren't forced into this trade. Raiders are lucky Campbell got hurt last week and not this week. Otherwise their season would be over with Kyle Boller

In case you haven't checked out the Bengals this year, they are extremely happy with their rookie QB, Andy Dalton. I imagine that packaging their first rounders to move up for Luck is the furthest thing from their mind.

It's definitely a win now strategy for the Raiders.  They will likely be devastated for years to come because of the lack of draft picks in 2012 and 2013.  They REALLY overpaid for Carson.

Great move for Cincy, though.

Note: The Raiders passed on Garrard because he needs back surgery, and they passed on Orton because they didn't think he was even worth a 4th rounder.

What makes Carson Palmer good to begin with? He's a fat bum who's never won a playoff game.
