AP NFL Pro 32 Power Rankings

To start the season, the AP ranks the top five as:


1. Green Bay Packers
2. New England Patriots
3. New York Giants
4. San Francisco 49ers
5. Baltimore Ravens


... with Miami projected at #27, between Tampa Bay and St. Louis. Each of the rest of the AFC East teams is ahead of the Phins, to varying degrees (Pats #2, Jets #17, Bills #19). I know it's a rebuilding year, but the discouraging thing was when I looked at the rankings, I couldn't honestly look at ANY of the teams ahead of Miami and say, "No way- that's completely outlandish. Miami is clearly better than that team." Bit of a wake-up call. I predicted 7-9 this year, and I'm staying with that, but wow....27/32 is just.....grrr! -EK

Not surprised on this end (or maybe I'm just a negative guy)... either way, I'm going with 6-10 this year.

Still believe the Fins will finish at least ahead of the Jets and probably in a dog fight for 2nd with the Bills.

Our DEFENCE should improve and keep us in most games.

OFFENCE is the question mark, but hoping that a strong running game can carry an obviously weak passing offence.

Hoping that my trip down to Miami (dec.2nd versus Pats), has them at 7-5 fighting for a wildcard berth.  I'm anticipating our squad to have almost 1500 yds rushing and hopefully Tannehill can win rookie of the year....if so, we get the wildcard and build from there!
