At worst he makes the practice squad and gets a roster spot later on in the year. But I would be shocked if he isn't on the opening day roster

Well Ireland probably did low ball him some, but that's how the game is played in free agency. I am just glad Miami didn't beg or overpay for him.

Bottom line is Flynn should fire his agent. To go to Seattle where they had Jackson already in place was silly. If he gets beat out by a short rookie QB who wasn't even picked in the first 2 rounds that says alot.

It's entirely possible that if Miami had signed Flynn as a FA, they would have waited a couple of rounds to draft a QB, say round 3, drafted Russell Wilson, and we would have had the same camp battle that the Seahawks are having.

I know Wilson is surprising folks with his impressive early performance, but I "still" think that Russell has the ability to be a very good NFL QB, despite his munchkin status.

I said this before, a couple of times in other threads...but I think that Wilson will surprise people once he gets into the NFL. Yes, he's short...but he's accurate, extremely smart and athletic enough to give defenses something to think about.  If Miami (or SF, for that matter) throw a late round flyer at this guy, I'd be happy.

As I noted in a different thread, I'd like to see Miami take a 3rd-4th round flyer on either Russell Wilson from Wisconsin or Kellen Moore from Boise State.

I like Blackmon as well...and would have no problem with Miami taking him at #8 if he's still on the board.

After the first half Wilson just put up, instead of wearing a baseball cap and holding a clipboard for Aaron Rodgers and having a chance to get a ring, Flynn will now be wearing a baseball cap and holding a clip board for Russell Wilson! lol lol

After watching Wilson, Earl Thomas, and Golden Tate and thinking that these are guys the Dolphins had a chance to get...... Sigh

I don't care about Wilson. But Jarrard Odrick/Koa Misi over Earl Thomas was a horrible move. Didn't make sense at the time when we had Langford/Merling/Soliai/Starks on our roster already. That isn't a knock on Odrick, he is a good player, but we didn't need another d-linemen. Still makes no sense because the value of trading down to get the extra pick (ended up being Misi) and Misi is a marginal player.

Odrick has yet to show me anything special.  He is inconsistent and injury prone.  Misi is also inconsistent and may lose his starting job.  That entire draft showed Parcells unbearable fixation with linebackers and as a result, several positions of need on offense went unadressed.  Not only could the Dolphins have gotten Earl Thomas in that draft but they also could've landed Aaron Hernandez.

Oddrick has had 1 injury in his life. Since year 1 he hasn't been hurt at all really. But he is a good pass rushing DT we are playint at DE and sliding inside on passing downs. Which is fine. He is a solid player. Can't knock the guy he hasn't done anything wrong. Just that Earl Thomas would have been a better pick. Just like Jake Long, not a bad player, but Matt Ryan would have been the smarter pick.

Misi is just a run of the mill player, nothing special.

He hasn't shown anything special.  A smidge better than average at times but not consistently good.  This is not the type of player you would use a first rounder on.

And this is not the type of player you would use a second round pick on.

Its healthier not to think of players the Dolphins could've drafted. Just sayin'.
