Can't we just put a red pullover on him and put him in there. If a defensive player gets close all he has to do is 2 hand touch him and he's down. This should be a rule in pre-season. I'm joking...but I would be in favor of it. LOL

^^^^ Funny you said that as I swear I was thinking that as I made up the poll.

I say let him sit.  He has nothing to gain and everything to lose.  Let Moore and Devlin take care of it.  Hell, I'd let Daniel Thomas play QB if he wanted to give it a crack.  I'd almost consider signing a guy just to play this game, and then cutting him.

All of this.  He has nothing to gain from any snaps.  One series in a meaningless game is not going to solidify his rapport with this WRs.  He seems to be in tune with those 3, and seem to do so the most with Gibson last week.  And Wallace look great the previous vs HOU.

Makes no sense to play him in this game!   All it takes is one mistake to hurt him... and to have it come in a meaningless game is stupid!   You get guys hurt in this game and it could effect your season early on... while most teams are mostly healthy you'd be starting behind the eight ball.

You can get hurt in regular season games too. Should he sit during those as well?

Only valid reason to sit starters is to give the backups a chance play.

You take a guy like Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Brees, and there is a very valid argument that their backup will benefit a lot more from the game reps than the starter will. Those guys know how to read a defense at game speed, their backups can't.

If your starter is still developing, it is better to give him the reps.

Nobody should play.  Put all scrubs in the game that aren't going to make the team.  ...might as well do this for all 5 preseason games, while you're at it.  Send a message to the NFL that this system doesn't work and it's not worth the injury risk to figure out who your 5th corner is going to be.

Only offensive "starter" playing is Jon Jerry. Everyone else is benched

Not sure who is playing on defense

I voted play as much as possible. I don't buy into the getting hurt thing. He could just as easily get shredded in the 1st game and lost for the rest of the season. I think the reps and practice would outweigh the risk with someone like Tannehill. If it was a Marino, Elway, or Manning it would be a different story.
