CF, you make a strong case.  I hate the idea of starting over (again); but it doesn't make sense to continue down a road that has only led us to mediocrity.  I guess if nothing changes, it's going to be hard to get excited about next season.  With 2 losses to end the season, it doesn't feel like we have much to build on.

I guess we will see what kind of owner Ross is going to be, based on what he does over the next few weeks.  If he shit-cans Ireland and brings in a person with zero experience, I'll have my answer.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. When it comes to creating a winning football team, stability is great for head coaches, coordinators and players. For GMs? Not so much. The only thing that matters with the GM is if they can spot talent and provide the coaches with quality football players to work with. I haven't seen much from Ireland on that front.

Side note, no need to praise the Jets and their league leading rookie snap count. They had no other talent and used these kids even when they were terrible. Geno Smith was wet garbage and his consistent reps are being praised?

That being said, the 2013 was make or break and it definitely broke. How the hell did Thomas get 2 snaps all season with the way our O-Line played? Was everyone injured? I still think Jordan can be good, but the highlight of this class was Sturgis and that speaks for itself.

Fire Ireland. I would rather have POTENTIAL instability than GUARANTEED mediocrity.
