The controversial Blue Turf beat out Rocky Top, a rather lame tradition.  The 8-4 battle probably speaks more to how people feel about the Blue Turf.

In a unprecedented display of homerism, the big upset in round 1 was Running Through Smoke beating out A&M's 12th Man, by a score of 8-4.

Trying to understand the votes, I think that the Blue Turf is divisive. 

Based on the first round, Rocky Top is a pretty generic tradition and Blue Turf is out there.  I would expect a sweep.  But Rocky Top did get 4 votes, leading me to think that those votes are AGAINST the blue turf, rather than FOR Rocky Top.

Also, the smoke thing should've never even made it out of the first round.  I expect it to get crushed here.
