It will be real interesting where teams go with this.  For less money than they spend one practice player they could pay the entire team cheerleader fairly.  Or to save few bucks they could do away with the team ambassadors.

Some teams Cheerleaders (Dallas and Miami come to mind) are a big deal and they are used year round for major events. Sent overseas to visit with the troops and such. I am sure they are getting paid well and this isn't an issue with them. Just a guess on my part.

I know some teams don't even have any (Browns and Giants come to mind) and hearing of these issues I am guessing they won't be adding them anytime soon.

I think some teams will view this now as a headache not worth having and if there is an issue with their cheerleaders they will do away with them. I think I read the Lions use "volunteers" pretty much and some local girls started a dance team and asked the Lions about being their cheerleaders or something and the Lions said after viewing them to have your dance team show up on gameday and you can be the "unofficial" cheerleaders...but you won't get paid and aren't part of our organization. Pretty much you are doing this for fun and we will let you do it at games on our field but that's where our involvement ends and if you don't want to do it anymore at some point that's fine. I could see teams following that concept.
