Rookie WR Mike Evans was on Jim Rome's radio show and did a bad interview. Which led to Jim Rome blasting him.

Since when has Jim Rome ever been considered a "jock sniffer?"

He is a little bit of one with certain athletes.

He is actually bigger than ever with the SHOWTIME show, the CBS deal, and the NFL Pregame show spots to go along with his radio show. He has lasted the test of time

I like Rome in small doses.  He does suffer from a chronic case of smugness, though.  I still enjoy watching the video of Rome making Jim Everett totally lose it.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjgpo3_SF7M

That moment put ESPN2 on the map. Made every cable company HAVE to carry that network. When ESPN2 first started it was considered a joke. After that moment it became a part of everyone's basic cable package

And you wonder why Marshawn Lynch doesn't do interviews. Stay classy, Rome. Nevermind. Forgot who I was talking about.
