With the Pats releasing Cam today it means the Dolphins defense will be going against a rookie QB in his first game. Weird things happen in the NFL but our defense should feast on Mac Jones in this game which will be fun in Foxboro.

Absolutely no excuse not to blitz and crush this kid. No excuse not to win in convincing fashion, just from our defense alone. Forget about our much improved offense.

Personally, I don't care if they "feast" on Jones or not.  My take on Week 1 is the same that it is every week.  Just get out of the game with the win.  I don't care if you win by 30 points or win by 1 point.  Win games and the rest takes care of itself.

I'll be happy with a win and no injuries, but we really should win this game convincingly. We are the better team and they are starting a rookie. Plus, every playoff  tiebreaker counts as we saw last year. Better to win by 20 than 3.

Yeah, I totally get what you are saying.  I guess it has been so long since the Dolphins were "really good" that I'm happy just to win games at this point. lol

As a Bama fan, I would say don't sleep on Mac Jones.  Yes rookie, but the kid has got a pretty good head on his shoulders and can rifle the ball. I would like to think Flores has something for a rookie QB that he hasn't seen to make him 2nd guess throws dring the game.

And he WILL throw the long ball, don't think for a minute he'll sit on slants and quick outs.  He will throw at least 2-3 passes 25+ downfield and MIA backfield better be fockin ready.

First off, ew to you for being a Bama fan.

Secondly, McCorkle's ceiling is Chad Pennington.  He can hit some long passes from time to time, but he has no velocity on his throws unless he's hopping three steps and putting his entire body into it.  People said that sort of thing about Tua (incorrectly I might add), and McCorkle is worse.  I'm calling it right now, Howard is going to pick six him on a lame duck out route.  There's a reason he was the last QB taken in the first round, I'm not scared.

With this team's luck, Mac will show out in week 1 and NFL pundits will say that a star is born.

If the Dolphins don't win this game by at least 21 points, they can kiss the playoffs goodbye.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

First off, ew to you for being a Bama fan.

I figure a lot of Fins fans on here have no time for Saban and I get it, but I've been a Bama fan since the early 80's and have been a Fins fan since I knew what football was

Saban definitely burned the bridge here when he left and I know Fins fans have not forgotten, and I get it.  But probably Top-3 CFB coaches of all-time and might even be no. 1

If the Brees thing had turned out differently, we fans might have had a SB by this time.
